If you're an entrepreneur in Nigeria's South West region, you're in luckbecause the country's vice president is putting his money where his mouth is.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is teaming up with the Nigeria Philanthropy Organization and Impact Investing to create jobs and investment for more than 500 small- and medium-scale entrepreneurs in the region, the Guardian reports.
"Our target for the partnership is to help between 500 1,000 SMEs so that poverty can be reduced in South West," says Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, chairman of Odu'a Investment Company.
"The partnership is a way to give back to our people and encourage them to invest in businesses that will make them happy," he adds.
Ashiru says the plan is to "create jobs for the unemployed in Nigeria," especially in the agriculture, renewable energy, furniture, bead-making, and fashion industries, per the Guardian. Read the Entire Article
